The road to Tyringe was not so very remarkable or exciting to tell long stories about. Nature was okay, but it was rather cold and gray, and that always weighs a bit on the experience.
We started at ten past ten and were moving back inland to the east, so we could still enjoy the firm tailwind. The climbs were heavy (470 meters), but somehow we could manage it today. It depends greatly on the type of climbs.
Komoot surprised us a bit because the path suddenly seemed to disappear. But we kept going and it turned out to be a fun experience.
We stopped at Össjö church. It was a pretty typical Swedish church, and it gave me some time to check out the gravestones. Lots of them had a symbol or little drawing that showed what was important to the person who passed. It was nice and surprising to see how a whole life could be summed up in one little drawing.
I also want to show you how clouds can be beautiful and at the same time weigh on the mood of the day.
We had a lot of gravel today, which slowed us down as we didn’t want to slip and fall off course.
We also stopped in Klippan, which isn’t just an IKEA couch, but also the hometown of a wool factory and its outlet store. We’ve been there many times before since the shop has some cool, original souvenirs.
After Klippan, we had to do the last part to Tyringe, which was again a lot of gravel. We also made a quick stop at the alpaca farm near Eleanor and Ingemar’s old house. The alpacas were still happy to see us.
And finally we reached Tyringe. The end of this chapter.
Eleanor and Ingemar welcomed us warmly and proudly showed off their new house. After we told them the most important stories from our trip to Tyringe, they made us a lovely dinner, and then we played two games of Oh Shit, a dice game they taught us long ago.
We will stay here for the coming two days and start planning for the next chapter in our journey.
