We feel very at ease on our bikes. They have become a kind of second home. “Nowhere beats being on our bikes”, is our slogan.
You feel everything better, smell everything better and you experience the world and nature in a better way. Yes we love our bike life. We like to push ourselves to the limit.
It gives me a great sense of freedom and helps me slowly unblock all the fixed thoughts in my head. It’s addictive. I enjoy our rides for more than 100%.
We meet so many lovely people on our road. It’s so heart warming. This gives me a positive perspective on the world where so many bad things are happening at the moment.
And for the first time in years, I started reading again. This means I finally get some rest in my head.I even didn’t have a single migraine attack during our road trip. And if we may believe our kids, we look very relaxed.
Talking about our kids and grandchildren, I miss them very much. Yes, I am a little homesick. Luckily we can video chat with them.
Tomorrow’s gonna be a special and emotional day. Our youngest daughter Margot, who lives in New Zealand, is coming to visit us on our next stop, along with my sister and brother-in-law. I am so exited and my mother heart is going boom boom boom.
I also need to admit to myself that we sometimes cross our physical boundaries. I forget that we are not 40 anymore, so we have our dips: muscles that are protesting and hangry moments.

Luckily, my nutrition knowledge helps with this: drink enough, eat protein-rich food, and eat at regular times. Better small, regular meals than one big one. I also drink an isotonic electrolyte glucose solution that I got from a nice, helpful German pharmacist.

Jan is my trusted support in hard moments. We are a good team, we laugh and sing a lot and together we are unstoppable. Thank you Jan ❤️.
By the way, dear reader, you are always welcome to visit us live on our tour 😉.
