Today we both had our first two vaccinations against tick-borne encephalitis. OK, you can get other nasty diseases from ticks, but that one can be removed from the list.

Ticks are spreading more and more over Europe, so this type of vaccination will become more common in the following years.

Ixodes are ticks, so that’s how they spread in Sweden.

Below you see the distribution of encephalitis cases in Europe in 2023.

Better safe than sorry then…

In the meantime, Leen already got her sleeping bag from Nordisk (always bragging that it’s only half the weight of mine 😁), and I am still waiting for our Trangia cooking set that was sent 10 days ago. Still no news of our bikes…
