Day -52 Cooking

As we decided to do camping anyway, we would go all the way.

Are we experienced campers? No! Apart from a one-week camping trip to France and Jersey, we never camped in again.

So how to prepare? YouTube is an excellent resource for this! Dive into a variety of videos, and trust your intuition to guide your selections. Remember, all information is context-sensitive.

So after carefully checking the internet, we stumbled upon a Swedish product called Trangia. And, yes, we are biased and have a soft spot for Scandinavia.

We selected the combination below: the Trangia Stove 27-2 HA – Trangia. It contains two pots, a pan, and a small kettle. The model we chose is powered by a gas burner, as working with liquid fuels can be quite messy.

I also add two plates that would fit in the same package and a cookbook to get some inspiration for recipes on this cooking set. Of course, the book was filled with recipes from a Danish and a Swedish chef.

I know, we have this idealized image of us, sitting in a quiet and peaceful camping spot, cooking a delicious meal, with only the bare minimum of ingredients…

So we will keep you posted with what really will happen…
