Two days of rest with very few activities from our side.
We cleaned our bags and bikes a bit, checked if our bikes were okay, checked the tire pressure, and rearranged our bags. Basically, all the stuff we usually don’t have time for on biking days. I also fixed the flat tire from day 87, so we have an extra spare again.

We visited the harbor of Hundested on the two days to immerse ourselves in its delightful atmosphere.
The first day we had lunch at Cafe Dagmar, a cafe with some nice dishes. Leen chose a veggie Poké Bowl and I went for the three tartelettes with chicken and asparagus. It was delicious!

Hundested is truly a charming and vibrant town, offering a plethora of cafes and restaurants, and even a few bakeries.

This weekend, there was a festival going on in the city. Folkely Festival in Hundested Havn is a small, late-summer cultural festival that blends music, art, and community-focused talks. It takes place around the harbor and green areas, creating an intimate atmosphere where established Danish artists, emerging talents, DJs, and visual art exhibitions come together. The festival emphasizes togetherness, creativity, and local culture, making it feel warm, informal, and very coastal in character. The event is designed as a community gathering rather than a large commercial festival. We only observed it from a distance as the tickets were a bit too expensive for a quick in and out.
The place we stayed at was super well-equipped, with a big plus and a big minus: it had an airfryer but no coffee machine! So, we got to experiment with the airfryer (since we don’t have one at home) and use our camping skills to make coffee with the material at hand.

Relaxing, reading, and planning were the main activities these two days, ensuring we’re all set for our bike ride further south in Denmark tomorrow! There were also some calls to the home front, ranging from birthday greetings to inquiries about my mother, who unfortunately experienced a nasty fall and now has a black eye.

Our itinerary is more or less fixed and looks like this:

The part in Germany still needs some extra planning as it will be an area that we still need to discover.
So tomorrow we’ve got 58 kilometers and about 200 meters of climbing to do. And it looks like the weather will be good 👍🏻.
