Today, we’re riding to Lake Rösvattnet, near Tresticklan National Park, and thus near Norway.
The route has a lot of ups and downs, but definitely more than our mood, because the spirit is high in our team again. And although we sometimes grumble and moan a bit, all hills were taken with a smile (Leen a bit more grumbling though). The decision to keep our daily progress below 60 km has already proven its worth.
That’s why we did 61 kilometers today with 470 climbing meters.

And also some downhill moments as shown on the videos below:
The weather was fine today. Well, maybe a bit too good. In the afternoon, my thermometer measured a maximum temperature of 31.8°C 🥵. So, lots of drinking was needed, even refilling our drinking cans.

We finally arrived at our destination at 16:56. We were greeted by an enigmatic individual who was not particularly talkative.

The location where we stayed today is a member of Welcome to My Garden.
The house also has a lot of character, and we were allowed to cook and eat inside, which was much more relaxing than being outside with that annoying green-yellow horsefly that was bugging us.

We felt immediately very welcome. We even got two chairs from our host so we could enjoy the view of the lake in the evening sun.

Tomorrow also has 370 climbing meters but we’ll stay under 60 km. Pinky swear.
