It’s a rest day. Our muscles are tired. My bowels are a little off.
And yet.
We need to go shopping for today’s meals. The nearest store seems to be approximately 15 kilometers from our current Airbnb, and we expected it to be only 1 kilometer away.
Talk about a slight misjudgement.
First, a healthy breakfast to charge our very depleted batteries.

As the motto is “Yes we can,” we jump on our bikes and take the scenic route to Hagen im Bremischen.
On our unplanned tour, we encountered some local wildlife,

and a lovely lighthouse. You might not know this, but I like to make a detour for a lighthouse 😁.

I must admit the trip was okay, and we found all we needed for our lunch and dinner at Edeka. And as you can see, we made no detours.

After 29,5 km, the amount we normally do on longer trips before noon, and at 13:30 we finally have lunch.
In the afternoon, I took a long bath to relax my slightly overstretched muscles and a nap to rest and recover.
Leen had enough energy left to make a lovely fika with things we had in the fridge.

In the evening, we made dinner with the ingredients we had bought at Edeka.

After doing the dishes, we do some administrative tasks like reviewing the Airbnbs we visited, some light reading, and we tuck in early, in the hope that our muscles have recovered.
Tomorrow, we’ll travel some 75 km to Nordleda near Cuxhaven. Weather apps predict a few showers in the afternoon, but we’ll see.
