Are we not feeling prepared enough? Maybe we should loosen up and go with the banana, like our grandkids Juul and Basil said early this morning. Yeah, we had morning duty to take them to school, the kids on kick scooters and balance bikes, and us on foot. Basically, that means grandma and grandpa get to jog the whole way to school, constantly terrified that nothing will happen to the little rascals.
I gues this counts as muscle warm up too.
I made thank you cards today for all the hosts we’ll meet on our trip. It’s a tradition I started on previous trips, and yeah, 90+ cards add 355g to our total weight.
What else for today? Tidying the garden, cleaning the bikes, and even testing the new tent. The new tent was not so different from the previous model, but we are a bit curious for the differences. And differences there are: it has a second door, new ways to attach the poles and better ventilation to name a few, so it was definitely worth the wait.
We only have tomorrow left to do the last preparations for the big trip, since we have a big family party for my mother-in-law’s 90th birthday on Sunday, so the clock is really ticking now.
No stress. Go with the banana. Inhale. Exhale.
So how about that tooth fairy?
To top off the joy of the day, at 17:30, one of my tooth fillings decided to depart for what might be a better place. Fortunately, my dentist came to the rescue, and by 18:15, a new filling was in its place. Huge thanks to Louiza! I might only get half a coin for this piece of tooth, but I’m putting it under my pillow anyway.
